Network Consultant

It’s with a very stable and forward-thinking company who are heavy-hitters in the networking space, you will be acting as a consulting expert on their behalf to set their clients up with whatever networking requirements they have.

What you’ll be doing:

You’ll be setting up the networking for client sites with scope to get involved from the planning/design phase right through to roll out and config. You’ll also be doing some support for clients in the early stages but won’t be spending 6 months on each site, you’ll be moving on essentially once the setup is complete. You’ll be working closely with other engineers in compute, storage, pre-sales, etc., and interacting with them daily. You’ll be working alongside another very experienced Network Consultant who is an Aruba expert and keen to help you develop your skill set.

What you need:

• Driver’s licence and own means of transport.
• Strong network fundamentals.
• Experience building and configuring networks including hardware.
• They use about 80/20 Aruba/Cisco so experience with Aruba would be great but not strictly necessary - CCNP level is ideal.
• Client management experience and the ability to communicate effectively.

Salary:

Around €65k.

Interview process:

2 rounds - first round is a technical interview with another Network Consultant covering networking theory and general knowledge of network technologies. Second round is with the hiring manager to go over team fit.

Remote:

Hybrid - you’ll be working on-site with clients around 70% of the time. They are mainly around the Dublin/East coast area, outside of that you can work remotely. There’s no real need to go into the office but you’ll need to be based roughly in the Dublin area.
