Full time

Network Infrastructure Engineer

Have you ever wondered how you and so many people can stream all the Netflix you want, download those dreaded 100GB Call of Duty patches, or access content from websites whose servers are on the other side of the world, all at the same time without buffering or lag? Thankfully, these guys have, and they have all the answers.

They’re a massive Content Delivery Network of edge servers, firewalls, and data centres - together with ISPs and other networking providers, they form the backbone of the internet. Whether you realise it or not, you’re using them every day to keep your internet safe, steady, and fast. Why not be part of it? Sure it’s basically a public service.

What you’ll be doing:

This one’s heavy on virtualisation, you'll be responsible for the stability and performance of critical systems and infrastructure. You’ll be monitoring alerts, configuring server hardware, building out the network infrastructure, and designing production and pre-production environments.

There's a mid-level and senior role available, some scripting is required for automation on the senior end and you’ll need a decent knowledge of virtual machines and CLI. You’ll also be participating in a very light on-call - there was only 1 escalated incident in the past year.

What you need:

  • Strong virtualisation & hypervisors (preferably ESXi).
  • Hands-on data centre experience (racking/ cabling).
  • Good knowledge of Linux.
  • Some scripting is a bonus (Python/ Ansible).

Salary:

Around €60k - €80k + RSUs, but will go higher for someone senior.

Interview process:

2 rounds - a technical chat with the hiring manager, followed by a final culture fit round.

Remote:

Remote - there’s no obligation to go to the office but the odd bit of data centre (Dublin) maintenance will need to be done (maybe a power upgrade every couple of months).
