Procurement Manager (9-Month Contract)

We’re working with a leading tech business in Bahrain that’s looking for an experienced Procurement Manager to join on a 9-month contract. This is a maternity cover role with end-to-end ownership of procurement operations, ideal for someone confident running sourcing, managing contracts, and working across teams to keep things moving.

It’s a short-term assignment, but one with real scope and visibility across multiple regions.

The Role

You’ll lead procurement activity for Bahrain and support regional procurement where needed. From managing vendor relationships to driving RFPs and finalising contracts, you’ll play a key role in keeping procurement structured, compliant, and cost-efficient during the leave period.

You’ll be the go-to person for internal stakeholders in legal, finance, and operations, helping ensure that SLAs are met, policies are followed, and savings are captured through centralised buying.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Leading sourcing and procurement for Bahrain and supporting regional needs.
  • Running RFQ/RFP processes and coordinating contract finalisation.
  • Negotiating and renewing vendor contracts and rate cards.
  • Managing vendor performance and maintaining relationships.
  • Working closely with legal, finance, and operations to meet procurement requirements.
  • Driving savings through structured tendering and procurement strategy.
  • Providing regular reporting and updates to leadership.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

  • At least 4 years of relevant procurement experience, including 2+ in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of sourcing, contract and vendor management, and procurement policy.
  • Familiarity with key finance elements (payment terms, taxes, etc.).
  • Bachelor's degree in a business or management-related field.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Comfortable working independently and stepping into a short-term assignment.
