Have you ever thought about creating a game from SCRATCH, and joining a team that specialises in it? We have the perfect opportunity for you! Our client is a game studio focused on multiplayer games that inspire players from all over the world to play and win together.

As a Senior Data Engineer, you will work as part of the studio’s main base in the Data Engineering team to build and deploy an analytical framework.

You will configure new data pipelines and use data processing tools such as Apache Spark. - A lot of data awaits you.

Your day-to-day:

You will be responsible for setting standards and what tools are needed to meet the needs of internal stakeholders. (Game designers, producers, business managers, etc).

You will use Spark and Scala for writing and validating jobs within an EMR environment.

You’ll have the opportunity to discover new analysis use cases to enhance ML/AI - player experience is paramount here.

The player base increases significantly and that’s why it will also be your role to help improve and support the data analytics infrastructure.

For this to be possible, you will work closely with the production and business teams and also integrate third-party systems - with internal ones - for greater audience acquisition.

So if you have about 4 years of experience with Data Engineering and have skills with technologies and frameworks such as Apache Spark, Scala, AWS, Terraform, CI/CD - pipelines - visualization tools like Tableau or PowerBI, data storage, knowledge in GDPR, like to talk to people, explain, teach, learn and most importantly have a deep passion for games.

Note: it will be a plus if you already have experience with AAA game dev

The salary is around 100k euros per year and this is a Hybrid role within Dublin.
