Senior Software Engineer

Let me clarify what you will be doing. You are doing exactly what the title suggests... Senior software engineer. This will be working with one of the largest IT companies globally.

So from a job security standpoint. This is very secure. You are going to be embedded in the team working for a long-time partner, who is also a multinational company. To be honest there is no difference working for a partner organisation. There will be 0 difference in the work and how you are treated... Just your salary band is a bit higher :-)



The day-to-day... You will build new features and components across the backend systems, web & mobile applications. You will work as part of a cross-functional squad delivering this SAAS product. All the work is in an Agile environment.



Having an understanding of the end user is essential as everything needs to be built with that user in mind. It is essential to have robust cloud services as the software updates vehicle locations every 30 seconds, and these complex systems are online 24/7. Everything must be built with scale and reduced runtime in mind.



Tech Stack - AWS, .Net/C# (core), microservices, distributed caching & messaging (Kinesis, RabbitMQ etc) databases (SQL, Postgres, Redis, Dynamo).



If you have experience with Full stack development that would be an added bonus. But in no way a deal breaker. Beyond the technical requirements, other things they look for is bringing through junior engineers and approaching complex problems with a sense of ownership.



It's a Hybrid position based in Dublin - this is twice a week for a bit of Facetime and to get out of the house for a while :-)
