ETH Dublin wrapped up last weekend, and honestly? It was everything we hoped it would be: high-energy, high-impact, and full of conversations that reminded us why we’re building in the Web3 space in the first place. As proud sponsors (and caffeine dealers), nineDots showed up to fuel the community, literally and figuratively. Here’s how it went down.
Our nineDots.io coffee station became an essential pit-stop for mid-session refuels for the hackers, ETH team and attendees alike - and also fuelled the chats about everything from the hackathon projects, ETH’s progress since its inception to the recruitment landscape in Ireland.
Also, the Mike Tyson meme went down well with all the pun lovers in the house - there were loads!
We ran a merch giveaway, and the response was way beyond what we expected. Dozens of people entered the competition and winners got exclusive nineDots.io gear - everyone loves merch! Honestly I got mobbed by people looking to scoop up the remaining merch packs on the Sunday.
One of our highlights? Taking the stage for a talk on how non-technical people can land meaningful roles in Web3.
We broke down practical ways to transition from Web2 and other careers into areas like ops, community, marketing, and biz dev - no Solidity required.
Another massive highlight was being asked to be involved in judging the Hackathon, we were presented with 30+ incredible blockchain projects and were tasked with narrowing them down to 5, which was no easy feat given the level of talent at the ETH Dublin Hackathon.
Huge congratulations to the winners! RecEth, Latinum.ai and fundraisely.
ETH Dublin confirmed a few things we’ve long believed:
