Chief Business Officer (CBO)

The Role:
As Chief Business Officer (CBO), you’ll be a key member of the leadership team, working closely with the CEO to shape and deliver the company’s strategic vision. This is a high-impact, commercially focused role, responsible for driving revenue, market share, and customer growth while ensuring operational excellence across Product, Marketing, Engineering, and Business Development.

You’ll play a central role in identifying new markets, launching new revenue lines, and ensuring the company’s offering continues to meet customer needs, market trends, and regulatory expectations. Arabic-speaking candidates are highly desirable given the regional scope.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Leading business strategy and execution across core markets and new territories.
• Owning P&L across departments and ensuring revenue, growth, and budget targets are met.
• Driving the product roadmap in line with customer needs, market demands, and regulatory frameworks.
• Overseeing marketing performance, customer acquisition, retention, and brand strategy.
• Working with engineering leaders to support on-time product delivery and scalability.
• Expanding partnerships, distribution channels, and new revenue opportunities.
• Managing KPIs across departments, tracking performance, and adjusting strategy as needed.
• Leading new market entry plans, go-to-market execution, and cross-functional readiness.
• Supporting compliance with consumer finance regulations and local data protection laws.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

• 15+ years of experience in senior leadership roles, ideally in fintech, digital lending, or consumer finance.
• Proven success driving business expansion, owning P&L, and delivering revenue growth at scale.
• Strong background in marketing strategy, product leadership, and commercial operations.
• Strategic mindset with a track record of translating plans into execution across cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with regulated environments and consumer finance compliance.
• Arabic language skills (preferred).
• Willingness to be based in Bahrain, with regional travel across the GCC.
