A large organisation in Bahrain is looking for a Cloud Engineer to support a live AWS-based project.

This is a hands-on role focused on keeping a production environment stable, secure, and running properly. You’ll be working directly on-site with the team and end customer, so being based in Bahrain is a requirement.

They need someone who can step in quickly, take ownership, and deal with issues without needing constant direction.

The Role:

We’re supporting a client bringing in a Cloud Engineer with strong AWS experience to support delivery and ongoing operations.

This is not a remote or advisory role. You’ll be on the ground, working closely with stakeholders, managing the environment day to day, and making sure everything is running as it should.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Troubleshooting issues across AWS services and resolving them quickly
  • Keeping cloud resources up to date and aligned with best practices
  • Supporting cloud disaster recovery planning and readiness
  • Working across EC2, RDS, Redshift, VPC and related services
  • Monitoring performance and spotting risks early
  • Working closely with internal teams and the end customer on-site
  • Maintaining stability, availability, and security across the environment
  • Improving how the environment is managed over time

What’s In It For You:

  • A clear, hands-on role with ownership from day one
  • Exposure to a live, customer-facing AWS environment
  • The chance to work closely with stakeholders on-site
  • A fast-moving project with immediate impact
  • Potential for extension beyond the initial contract

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

  • Strong AWS experience, ideally 5+ years
  • Hands-on experience with EC2, RDS, Redshift, VPC
  • Solid understanding of cloud infrastructure and implementation
  • Experience with cloud disaster recovery
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in AWS environments
  • Good Linux knowledge
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work on-site with stakeholders
  • A proactive approach and ability to work independently
  • You must hold the AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional.
  • You must already be based in Bahrain. This is a strict requirement.
  • Ideally available to start immediately.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in regulated or enterprise environments
  • Experience working directly with end customers
  • Familiarity with monitoring and optimisation in AWS

Next Steps:

If you’re based in Bahrain and comfortable running a live AWS environment day to day, this is worth a conversation.

The client is moving quickly and wants to review profiles as soon as possible.
