Director of Architecture

This isn’t just about maintaining existing cloud infrastructure. It’s about modernising and updating the whole system, working with stakeholders and engineers, making sure everyone is on the same page.

This job is with a fintech company. People tend to stick around for years - attrition is low. There’s plenty of room to try new things, learn on the job, and shift into different paths as your interests evolve.

They’re privately owned so there’s no shareholders or investors demanding that graph go up.

Day to Day

• Designing and delivering architecture for the entire division, including contact center tools, desktop tools, and all the related bits and pieces
• Defining patterns, solutions, and standards that actually get used (because they’re good)
• Liaising with tech leads, product teams, and leadership to create efficient, scalable solutions
• Keeping an eye on the big picture.

What you bring to the party:

• 10+ years experience in closely related engineering role
• 5+ years’ experience as a solution architect.
• Very strong knowledge and experience of large-scale contact centers (the larger the better). CCaaS, IVR, VoIP, WFM, and all the other acronyms
• Lots of AWS or Azure experience (or both, ideally)
• You care about what it is like to use the tech you build
• Excellent communication skills - you’re able to translate technical topics to non-technical people

Salary is €100K with up to 30% bonus.

Hybrid in Galway - one week in office and 3 WFH.

You need to be already located near Galway

Stamp 4 or EU passport is a hard requirement
