When you think of your favourite video game, what about it keeps you coming back for more? Is it that immersive experience where you get lost for hours? Is it playing with your friends online? Is it the satisfaction of completing quests? Well, this combines all of that.
Launched in Dublin, some veterans of the industry have come together to create something new. Combining their collective decades of experience, they're working on what will no doubt be a globally successful game. With that, they're building their core team and would love for someone as passionate about games as they are to join them!
As the Lead UX/ UI Designer, you're going to be shaping the look and feel of their products. You'll be responsible for making sure that players have a memorable experience when delving into the game!
This position is very much about both UX and UI. While you'll be analysing user research data to create actionable insights, you'll also be very hands on in creating amazing visuals when it comes to UI. This is a game that looks great and plays great! As you'll be the lead, you're also the person to set the standard when it comes to methodologies and guides.
For this one, you will need to have experience as a UX/ UI Designer, and be comfortable working on everything from research, creating user flows and prototypes, to expert UI layouts. You'll mentor less experienced colleagues and share your knowledge, but also be open to learning from others around you.
A visual style has been established, so you're the kind of person who can take that, work with it, but also build upon it. Stakeholder meetings (where maybe not everyone comes from a design background) are no problem for you - you can make the complex understandable! It'd be great if you've worked on MoBA titles previously, and can really get into the mind of the player.
You don't have to be obsessed with gaming, but it helps!
