If you’re someone who likes building things properly and actually having a say in how systems are designed, this could be worth your time.
You can help large organisations understand the financial health of the companies they rely on, suppliers, partners, and customers so they can spot risk before it becomes an issue.
It’s not just dashboards or surface-level data. There’s a lot going on under the hood, and the platform is becoming more important as they scale.
They’re in the middle of moving from a monolith to a proper Python microservices setup, led by a new CTO. This isn’t a “come in and pick up tickets” role. It’s closer to a lead-level IC position where you’ll actually own parts of the system, shape how things are built, and work closely with product and leadership.
The team is fairly lean, so you get a lot of visibility. You’ll be involved in design, reviews, prioritisation and expected to communicate clearly, even when things change (which they do… fairly often).
They’re scaling the platform pretty aggressively this year as well, so there’s a genuine need to build things properly and not just move fast.
Tech is backend-heavy (Python, microservices, AWS, PostgreSQL, MongoDB data), but they’re more interested in how you think and operate at a senior level than ticking every box.
If you’re at that point where you want more ownership and influence without going into management, this is a good one.
Drop me a message if you want to hear more.
