Senior Technical Account Manager – Cloud Provider AI & Data Centre Networking

They're looking for a Senior Technical Account Manager who understands this space inside out. Someone who can engage with major cloud providers, influence how their networks are designed and help shape the technologies they'll rely on next.

This isn't a traditional account management role.

It's a highly technical, customer-facing position where you'll combine deep networking expertise with commercial awareness and the ability to influence both customers and internal product teams.

You'll work with experienced engineers, sales leaders and product teams, helping turn complex customer challenges into practical, forward-looking solutions.

What They Need Help With

You'll be working across cloud networking strategy, technical solution design and customer engagement, particularly within hyperscale cloud providers, AI infrastructure and large-scale data centres.

A big part of the role is understanding where the market is heading and helping the business stay ahead of it.

You'll be:

• Working with hyperscalers, cloud providers and large enterprises to design networking solutions for complex AI and cloud workloads
• Acting as a trusted technical adviser to customers and senior stakeholders
• Helping shape go-to-market and product strategies based on customer needs and emerging technologies
• Partnering with Sales Engineers, Account Managers and Product teams to develop competitive technical solutions
• Influencing internal leadership on networking strategy, product direction and investment priorities
• Supporting complex pre-sales engagements, including solution architecture, RFPs, tenders and technical proposals
• Identifying emerging trends in cloud networking, AI infrastructure and data centre technologies
• Helping customers bring together networking, compute and storage into scalable solutions

While you'll be involved in commercial conversations, your technical credibility will be what makes you successful here.

What They're Looking For

• 10+ years of experience in network architecture, infrastructure design or technical solutions consulting
• Ability to work in UK or Ireland.
• Strong experience designing large-scale cloud, AI or hyperscale data centre networks
• Deep technical knowledge of routing, switching and network architecture
• Hands-on experience with JunOS, EOS, IOS or similar networking operating systems
• Strong understanding of BGP, MPLS, EVPN/VXLAN, SDN overlays and data centre interconnects
• Experience with network automation, provisioning and monitoring technologies
• Familiarity with networking platforms such as Juniper, Arista, Cisco, SONiC or Cumulus
• Proven experience in technical pre-sales, solutions consulting or strategic customer-facing engineering roles
• Ability to engage confidently with senior technical stakeholders and C-level decision-makers
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• A degree in Engineering or a related field
• JNCIE or equivalent advanced networking certification
• Comfortable travelling internationally, sometimes at short notice

Bonus Points If You've Worked With

• AI/ML infrastructure and networking requirements for large-scale GPU environments
• Network automation technologies such as Apstra, Paragon, NETCONF, REST APIs and YANG
• Virtualisation technologies including DPDK, SR-IOV and SmartNICs
• Hyperscale cloud providers, neoclouds or large service provider networks
• Generative AI tools to improve technical workflows and productivity
• Complex technical tenders, RFPs and commercial solution proposals
