HybridFull time

DevOps Engineer

A healthcare management company is hiring their first engineer in the UK to keep things ticking over in the UK timezone. You’ll be the technical face of the company for this region, the person who makes sure the platform runs smooth, the customers get looked after, and the engineers in Australia don’t wake up to chaos.

This is not a sit-in-the-corner role. One day you’ll be deep in AWS and Kubernetes making sure everything is stable. You’ll debug across Node, React, and MySQL, and you’ll also be the one feeding back improvements so onboarding isn’t just “fine” but actually good.

What you’ll do

  • Keep UK and EU production infrastructure alive and healthy (AWS, EKS, EC2, RDS, S3).
  • Assist with the more complex customer onboarding and make it painless.
  • Debug full-stack problems until they cry mercy.
  • Partner with the Australian team to plan, scale, and secure everything.

Skills etc:

  • 5+ years in similar role
  • Strong AWS experience and comfort with production-level firefighting.
  • You can write and optimise MySQL queries
  • You know your way around a Node backend and a React frontend.
  • Excellent comms - you’ll be the bridge between customers, support, and dev. You need to be able to write great documentation and handover docs.
  • Terraform experience, curiosity about Rust or Go are a bonus

This role is for someone who likes variety, autonomy, and the satisfaction of knowing you are the reason things work.

Role is hybrid in London

Salary: £65K - 78K + benefits

Interview process is two steps, super smooth!

You’ll need full working permissions for the UK.
