Are you an experienced Data Engineer who thrives in collaborative, high-impact engineering teams? Do you want to build large-scale data platforms used across global investment products? If so, this role with our client’s Galway engineering hub is worth a look. About the Role Our client is expanding a new engineering team focused on designing and delivering performance measurement and analytics software for a major Custom Separately Managed Accounts (CSMA) platform, one of the most strategic initiatives in their Wealth Management Technology organisation. You’ll work alongside talented engineers in a highly collaborative, idea-driven environment where creativity, autonomy, and technical excellence are encouraged daily. Your experience in modern data engineering, cloud infrastructure, and distributed compute will play a major part in shaping the platform’s next generation. This is a hands-on role where you’ll contribute directly to architecture, design, data flow, and delivery across a large-scale, mission-critical data ecosystem.

What You’ll Be Doing

Designing and developing scalable, robust data solutions for a high-volume analytics platform.
Building performant ETL pipelines and data flows across Snowflake, Oracle, and large distributed systems.
Working with Spark (Java or Scala) on AWS EMR to process large datasets efficiently.
Contributing to microservices and data-driven components using Java and/or Python.
Deploying cloud-native solutions using AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes (EKS).
Applying DevOps best practices across CI/CD, version control, and automation (Maven, Jenkins, GitHub, Terraform).
Partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver new capabilities in an agile, iterative environment.
Bringing strong design, analysis, and problem-solving skills to a large enterprise data platform.

What We’re Looking For

5+ years of software/data engineering experience with strong design and development exposure.
Deep experience with Snowflake and Oracle.
Strong Java and/or Python engineering background.
Hands-on Spark experience (Java/Scala).
Experience using AWS EMR, AWS cloud services, Docker, and EKS.
Proven ability to build scalable ETL pipelines and data processing flows.
Excellent communication, teamwork, and collaboration skills.
Prior Financial Services experience is a plus, but not mandatory.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
